Piazza Cesare Beccaria is a square of Florence located on the viali di Circonvallazione great boulevards.
Realized by the architect Giuseppe Poggi when Florence was Capital of Kingdom of Italy, was dedicated to Cesare Bonesana marchese di Beccaria in 1876.
This place originally was called Piazza alla Croce for the presence of the majestic Porta alla Croce; today around Porta alla Croce there are some concave neoclassical palaces.
On the square, at the bifurcation of the Giovine Italia and Amendola boulevards, overlook the building that host the State Archives, where until 1977 upraised the Casa della Gioventù Italiana del Littorio of Florence.
Among 2003 and 2004 under the square was realized a nether parking of three floors.
